Photographer & Videographer - CHECKED!

My almost one week off from school have been quite fruitful. TW managed to get a day off from work last Thursday to go gown-choosing with me at Posh. In the morning we visited Davelab Motion at Plaza Damas, and signed up almost immediately for both their photography & videography services. To sum it up:

  1. Their portfolio was quite impressive, and they do both photography & videography! One-stop solution...he he he...
  2. Package was quite reasonable, though a little on the high side. At least they offered to throw in another photo montage MTV for us at the same price (save me quite a lot of hassle, was planning to do it myself). As my dad always says, "If you pay peanuts, you get monkey!". Let's just hope he's right!
  3. Last but not least we didn't want to go round scouting anymore

Oh, and whatever happened to Camwork? Unfortunately for him, we did not get to meet up last Tuesday as planned. Poor guy was involved in an accident and had to make a trip to the police station, hence our appointment was cancelled and to be rescheduled.

My gown fitting session at Posh was FUN......ny :P I lost count, but in 2.5 hrs I probably have tried about 20 gowns++ and I had to shortlist 5 for the pre-wedding shoot (I get to select new ones again for the actual day); 2 white ones plus 3 evening gowns. The whole session was quite embarassing, really! Since the gowns have built-in bra cups, I had to remove every single piece of clothing (except for one triangular piece) with 2 other girls in the dressing room to help me with the fitting *blush*. Imagine revealing your bulges to 2 strangers....urrgghh.... Anyway, they were really accommodating, and patient. They rummaged through their collection again and again until I found something that I like (or can fit in). Seriously I wouldn't have been able to pick any off the rack myself. There are really not that many to choose from (plus some are a little worn out as it has been taken for outdoor shooting before). But it is surprising to know that though it may not look appealing on the rack, it does look fabulous on you! :)

AND what did TW do while I go through this "ordeal"? He sat comfortably on the sofa while I paraded in front of him, with enough facial expressions to guide the girls on what he thought looked good on me and not. He even hinted to them that he wanted to see me in more REVEALING gowns! :O

Waltzing Together

I managed to convince TW to take up ballroom dance lessons. If things do work out fine, we'll get to do at least one dance during our wedding dinner (still don't know if we'll manage to squeeze in a dance floor though). Today marks our first private class together...... and after 1 hour, this is what I end up with:

AFTER: My cream-turned-grey shoes

As for TW, his knees were all wobbly and he ended up walking like a duck. I guess that proves my dad's theory that ballroom dancing is very much like hugging a fridge (that would mean me) and dragging it left and right on the dance floor. :P

Invitation Cards

Just spoke to my cousin in Johor today. He operates his own design house, so I'm getting his help to design my wedding dinner invitation card. He asked, "Do you have a particular preference or any specific theme?". I just replied, "Anything but the typical Chinese super duper RED cards". :P
